Whenever I get a craving for Mexican food, the first place I think of is Bandidas Taqueria in East Van. First, this place never seems to disappoint me when it comes to their vegan options. It’s not a fully vegan place but I still enjoy their vegan brunches that they have available during every day of the week!
Similarly, most of their menu can be made vegan. We ended up getting the vegan versions of:
EGG MUFFINS
Two pieces of cornbread muffin tops covered with guacamole, vegan cheese, squash, and salsa verde
+ roasted yam and potato hash
FRENCH TOAST
Three thick slices of gluten-free bread up French toast style, house-made apple compote, and real maple syrup.
Good thing the portions are decent and leave you satisfied after.
Definitely the perfect place to bring your non-veggie friends for brunch or even dinner!
